traveling west Texas 2 days

On Wednesday I left fort Stockton about 9:30 go west.
I saw the sign for Alpine I realized that I wanted to go see Alpine. So I turn left headed off to Alpine. After about an hour and a half of driving I arrived in Alpine. there was a shower coming over the mountain. I thought I'd stop for coffee. At first I stopped at Valero but then I thought better of it. I should go to a local coffee shop and meet the locals. I asked Google and Google suggested The cedars Pop shop I go downtown and walk past the mural
to The cedars coffee shop I ordered a tan. A tan coffee is coffee with ice and cream I added sweetener  while i drank the coffee, the people in the store commented on the hat that Mary Jane gave me which is a hat from Cusco Peru.
It wasrather friendly in the coffee shop.
Next I went for a walk in the rain and I saw a mural across the street from the old Alpine lumber yard, took apicture of that mural.

I walked back to the car through the rain. I found the tourist information house, where I asked about the observatory and the museum of the Big bend. I was informed that the museum of Big bend it's closed as they prepare for a grand opening of the big summer exhibit. I decided to just drive around town, following  a walking/ driving tour of town.  I took a picture of the Catholic Church. I looked at several houses and then I stopped at the library to use the facilities I drove over to Sul Ross University.  On the way I saw a house with lots of flowers all about the yard and tables for the flowers for sale
I go up the soul Ross University and found it it's kind of small college as is appropriate for  Alpine Texas.
I drove over the supermarket I bought lunch and I proceeded to drive further west. And so I drove Northwest pass through Martha and on the way I stopped  at the Martha lights viewing station. It is a fancy rest stop built by the department of transportation along the highway. I took pictures of some yucca some flowers and I read about the old Martha Air.
After that I drove on to Mafa where I took a picture of the Marfa county seat I think it's Pecos county and Marfa national Bank building, which was built in the 30s very ornate. I drove on Ozona, after driving through about 75 miles or sand and scrub brush. I stopped to read about the ozona springs. Once I got to ozona, I stopped for a soda.   I looked at some metal buildings across the street from the gas station. they have a metal garage on display it's a big enough for a Bagatelle to fit beneath.
Another couple hours I was in El Paso I found a gas station and then I checked Google for a hotel nearby. first to stop at the Super 8 motel going to be only 54 bucks a night ask for a room on the ground floor he said they didn't have any. I went to La Quinta I asked for the same thing and they were happy to oblige gave me a room in the back. So I got to my room I  pried up the screen , opened the window a crack, ran a power cord through the window plugged in my Volt.

I lie down for a few minutes.
After my nap I decided to go for dinner so I walked out to the freeway I looked at the left right and I saw a Mexican seafood restaurant to the left. I saw something called chitina with shamrocks on the side of the building so I walked towards the right for cheaper  places for dinner. I walk around the corner. I saw a Taco Bell, a Mexican fish restaurant,  German restaurant, a Dollar general and a Lowe's grocery store.
I decide to have a Lowe's grocery store dinner.

I watched a Kung Fu movies on my laptop.
I spoke with my Beautiful wife and went to bed.
