Visiting laurel maryland and Washington d c
I left the hotel in Richmond and drove North to Laurel Maryland. On the way, I was going down a little farm to market Road, I turned on to a major highway. I looked both ways, but when I turned onto the road, I looked in the rearview mirror to I see a big yellow bus. And so I flipped out, thinking that I wasn't paying attention. And maybe I needed some help so I stopped off at GNC vitamin store to get some vitamins to help with attention. since I couldn't get my prescription for the same in Maryland.
I found a hotel that I thought was close to a charging station. A Red Roof Inn in Laurel Maryland. I also thought it was close to the train station.
I was hoping to take the train in to DC. I booked my room and then I drove to the charging station. I found that it was actually 10 miles away which is not optimal.
But I parked the car plugged in. Then I went for a long walk for dinner. I went to a Mexican restaurant. I walked back up to the Laurel city park. Back to the car, the whole walk was probably 6 to 7 miles.
I was very tired when I got back to the car.
In the morning I was so tired. I slept in and as a consequence. When I got to the train station, I found that I got there 30 minutes after the last morning train for DC had left so I had to drive in to DC.
I found free parking near the Washington monument which was my goal and I drove down there to park. It was about 20 minute. Walk from the parking space to Washington monument. And I walked to the Washington monument. I arrived about 10 o'clock in the morning. To find that all the tickets had been sold.
This is an interesting lesson that I should keep in mind in the future so instead of climbing up the washing, I went to the Smithsonian Institute museum of history.
I had a good time looking at all the stuff. All the old engines, especially steam engines and diesel engines. An old car's all the stuff that you can find at the Smithsonian and Switch museum of American history.
On my way back, I thought I would deal with my phone, The simple modile one had run out of data. I drove until I found an AT&T store in Hyattsville, a town about 30 miles from Laurel. When I got there, I searched for a charging station. I went to one station which was inoperative in a shopping center. Then I found another station in a parking garage for the library. So I went there. I got the car connected and then I walked to the AT&T store.
The problem with this plan was that the library closed at 8pm, and I went to the AT&T store about 7 So after I've gotten my new phone on and had dinner, By the time I got back to the library. It was shut and the garage was locked and the car was unavailable to me.
I took a bus to a nearby Super 8 Motel. And I stayed the night. I had to pay for the same night at 2 different places,t. Because I was stupid. I had parked the car in a parking garage that closed 8.
The next day I got up early. Caught the bus back to the library to find that. The library did not open until noon so I had 4 hours to kill I therefore went for a long walk again. I walked to an old historical house to find that. They were not giving tours on Monday. All I was able to do was sitting there in the Lobby and read about the house. I sat there for 15 to 20 minutes, resting up.
I decided to walk to antique car museum wich was 5 miles away. And as I walked there, I noticed the time growing close to 11 o'clock. 11 o'clock. I knew the library will be open soon so instead of going to the museum, I continued walking back to the library and sure enough once I got there, the garage was open so I went to the library. I used the restroom, went downstairs, got in the car and drove back to the Red Roof Inn in Laurel. When I got to the Red Roof Inn, I was so tired. I decided to buy another night in Laurel and take a long nap. Which is what I did.
