Monday in New York City

Monday morning Dawned rainy and dreary.
I had bought some eggs and bacon at the grocery store, so I cooked those for breakfast. I got in the car and I drove out to Staten Island, which was further away than I thought, so I could catch the ferry into town.
I parked on a hill about 4 blocks from the ferry where I could park for free.
I walked down to the ferry and I asked where I could buy a ticket and the fellow told me that the ferry was free.
So I walked on to the ferry and rode into New York City.

and walked off the boat. I checked Google for where the Gray line started. I caught the A train to 42nd street.
It took me a couple of tries to find a proper bus. There were a lot of hawkers trying to get me on another bus which of course would have cost me more money. Finally, I found my bus. Since it was raining, it was nice to be on a bus tour instead of a walking tour.
I saw John of the Beatles Apartment and the Strawberry Fields section of Central Park, Rockefeller Center, South Street Seaport, 9/11 Memorial, and Wall Street then we took a Staten Island ferry ride. It was a $99 ride around Manhattan, with a tour guide talking constantly for 6 hours

After the tour, I took the train back to the ferry and took a free back to Staten. Walked up to the car. Then I checked the charge point app for nearby charge points if the closest one.  Is there any other side of the island at the Amazon warehouse and I couldn't find ithe. Next, closest one was at Hampton Inn and I drove over there and I plugged in the car. Then I checked Google Maps to find a restaurant and the closest restaurant I could find was 3 miles away so I proceeded to walk and I walked and I walked and walked fast as.  Medical clinic that had statues of artists in the parking lot so I took a picture of Monet. I walked pass ball fields around the corner to the restaurant I was seeking which was a Mexican restaurant which was closed cause it was a Monday so I ended up eating at a Italian pizza place and had a calzone which is good but it had a lot of calories.  As I walked back, I stopped again at the ballfield so I can use the restroom and then I walked back to the car it started raining I was forced to have an umbrella with me so I walked back to the car and the rain and when I got to the car it was fully charged so I employed. And then drove back to the motel. That's problem being that by the time I got back to motel all the charges gone. I'm just running on gas but I went to bed.  I had had a good day.

Bilge life lesson

Last time I was aboard Bagatelle, I left the Bildge pump off. When you leave the bilge pump off on a sailboat that's on a trailer and it rains the bilge will fill up with water. When the bilge fills up with water, it will fill so high as it make the cabin sole wet. Which is why the cabin sole has got some rot. Anyways so I came in and I found that the sole was wet, so I tried to lift the door to the bilge but when the bilge fills with water the door to the bilge swells and so it's difficult to open. I had to use a crowbar to open it. I turned on the bilge pump, put it on auto, which is where it's supposed to be all the time. The bilge pump emptied the bilge until there was about half an inch of water in it.  Then I pushed the manual button to make it even more empty. So now I got a quarter inch of water in it.  So the life lesson is when you leave the boat, be sure to check that the bilge pump is set to auto . Y'all have a nice day bye

visiting Jeff

As I said when I arrived, Jeff was cleaning up after what he said was a tornado the night before. A  lot of trees have been blown down lot of branches had fallen in his yard, he had a tent in the front yard that had blown into a pile in the corner of the yard. One of his sons had moved out of the house. He and his room mates came by to get some furniture out of Jeff's garage. After the boys left, we took their two old dogs for a walk. Then Jeff and his wife took me into town to treat me to dinner at their favorite Mexican restaurant. They had paella. I hap tacos. After dinner we went back to the house, to talk a while before I turned in for bed. The next morning after a breakfast of eggs and Toast, Jeff and I attended "Indianna Jones and the dial of destiny "  It was a good film.
