Thursday drive along Erie canal

Thursday morning arose got in the car and then drove to a convenience store to get breakfast I have for breakfast I I drove North to the entry for the Erie canal from the Hudson River Mall I stopped at the at the Lock and I took some pictures.

 I drove around to the visitor center so I can use the restroom and there I talked to the visitor center attendees attendance and I got a map of the canal a sample Erie canal map

and some brochures and then I headed west along how I would now I would stop every few miles to take a picture of a lock I stopped by a lake and I took a picture of that and after a while hey recruiter called me and asked me if I wanted to do database work.
I drove west from the lake to stop at a public boat ramp on the river this was the Illinois River
 I think and it was interesting standing on the pier looking at the river I left there.
I drove along a little further I found a another lock and it was pouring down rain when I got there I took some pictures of lock and then I used the restroom.

I drove on further west finally ending up in a Canastota where I found a charging station at a park and ride across from the boxing museum and a super 8 motel.
I ran to Walmart for dinner came back plugged in the car and I had to stay up late because the car didn't get charged until 11:00 and It was raining.

Bagatelle bow eye replacement

I tried to go sailing at Lake Somerville spent most of the morning trying to raise the mast. Once we had the mast up we went to launch the boat and found that the motor wouldn't run so we pulled the boat back out and I noticed in the morning that the bow eye was loose. On the way home there was some traffic on 290 coming in. I had to stop suddenly and since the boat wasn't really connected to the winch it slid forward past the winch and so now I have some gel coat to fix. So I decided to pull out the bow eye that I had bought earlier and put it in the holes that were vacanted by the old bow eye. My Saga of Designing and building a Nimble Artic Gin Pole for Mast raising

Bagatelle Gin Pole Design Saga Bagatelle is a Nimble Artic. Her mast weighs about 150 lbs. I can lift maybe 50 lbs above my head. So I find it difficult to raise her mast on my own. I decided to design a gin pole to help lift the mast. Fort stockton texas I plugged in the car through the door into the room. El Paso, Texas at the Quality Inn. I ran the cable through the window which I could open and plug it in the room. Truth or consequences New Mexico I ran the cables through the window which I could open and plug it in the room. Albuquerque new mexico At the Red Roof Inn..
