on charging the car during my retirement trip 2023

Fort stockton texas I plugged in the car through the door into the room.
El Paso, Texas at the Quality Inn. I ran the cable through the window which I could open and plug it in the room.
Truth or consequences New Mexico I ran the cables through the window which I could open and plug it in the room.
Albuquerque new mexico At the Red Roof Inn.. I parked close to an exterior plug plugged in the hallway, everything was good.
Crestview New Mexico at the super 8 I could open the window and run the cable through the window, plug it in the room.
At The Quality Inn in Baton Rouge. I found an exterior plug by the pool charged the car there.
In Lafayette Louisiana. I asked permission to run the cable through a door and plug the car in the hallway.
In New Orleans, I stayed at a hotel. That was a mile from a high Speed charger in a park and I walked or skated back-and-forth. From the car to the hotel every night.
In Crestview, Florida. I stayed that the Hilton motel (which is not a Hilton By the way) and I plugged in to an exterior outlet. That was supposed to be for an ice machine.
In Ocala, Florida. I stayed at the Red Roof Inn which had extra outlets for ice machines. I used those.
In Augusta Georgia. I found a high-speed outlet at a mall which used to be a cottion mill and walked to the hotel. Which is a mile and a 1/2 away.
My first stay at a hotel in Richmond Virginia. I stayed on the second floor and I ran extension cord from the hair dryer outlet to the car to charge.
My second stay in Richmond was at another red roof and I ran the power cord through the door to charge.
When I stayed in Laurel Maryland I made a mistake of finding a hotel that was a good 10 miles from the fast charger and had no exterior outlets. So each night I would park the car at the charger near the city library. Then walk down to the main road for dinner. For some reason this was very tiring. To kill time while the car charged, I walked away from the car, though a neighborhood and a park. I walked 5.3 miles it felt farther, at the end I was really tired.
One of the better charging experiences occured in Philadephia. I staid in Upper Darby at a air BNB. There were no outlets at the apartment anywhere close to the road. I found a fast charger a couple of miles away in a city parking lot where electric cars could park for free while they were charging. So while the car charged I had dinner at one of the many restaurants nearby the first night I ate Indian food and the second night ate Greek food. Well there I saw an advertisement for a high school presentation of Nashville. Which I attended on my last night in town.

When I got to New Jersey on the 1st day, I charged at a fast charger at Keaton University and skated to the motel six.
The second night I drove to Staten Island to take the ferry and after I got back, I found a fast charger at a Hampton Inn while I was charging there. I walked to dinner again, this walk was from probably 6 miles. It was tiring but when I got back to the motel. I found that I had used all the charge that I obtained.
The next morning, I discovered that there was a working outlet in the courtyard of the hotel.
After I returned from visiting new york that night I used that outlet to charge.
After I left New York City and Elizabeth new jersey,. I drove to Albany, New York. I specifically drove to a fast charger to charge the car. Then I walked downtown to have dinner and I walked back and by the time I got back to the car was fully charged
I used most of that charge looking for a motel. I found an old motel the Scottish inn.
Which although I couldn't
Open the windows, I felt safe running the cable through the door to charge.
On the way to Syracuse, I stopped at a small town that had a free charger at a park and ride parking lot. There was a Days Inn right across the street so I plugged in at the fast charger. And I stayed at the Days Inn after I went to Aldi to get dinner.
I drove to Pat Drummond colleys house for a visit.
After I left Pat's house. I drove to Niagara Falls. And after walking to see the falls and back,  I drove to Erie. Pennsylvania to stay at the Bay front inn. There was close a  fast charger at the shopping center.
The next day I drove to Sandusky, Ohio to stay at the Plantation motel. There were cute little Cabins, I stayed in one. The cabins were not grounded, however  I was able to charge the car from an outlet on the pool building.
I I skipped staying in Detroit because I didn't like Detroit.  They charged for all the state parks. I ended up staying in Lansing. I found a fast charger at the electric company.
I then found a no-tell-motel for 50 bucks a night. I plugged in at the electric company to charge and I walked downtown for dinner. I had dinner at the city beat bar & restaurant.  I walked back to the car. Watch movies until it was fully charged. And then I drove to the no tell motel where I was bit by bugs.
The next day I drove to Portage Indiana. I staid at the suburban studios motel which had windows that opened. so I opened the window plugged in the car Into an outlet that was close to the window, all was good.
Next stop was La Salle, Illinois. There was  a fast charger downtown. I plugged in the car downtown. I walked to a barbecue place, had dinner. I walked to a hotel that was several blocks away and booked a room. By the time I got back to the car it was fully charged.
I went to Metamora, Illinois to find my roots. But there were no chargers anywhere near Metamora. So I drove to Washington Illinois which is near Peoria. Found a cheap hotel then I drove 5 miles away to East Peoria.
At  The Illinois community college to charge the car. I looked on Google to find that there was a restaurant. A couple of miles away, bu it seemed a lot further.
I walked to the restaurant, ate and walked back. The car was charged.
After I went to the church were John t Smith's funeral was held. I drove down to arciola where there was a charging station downtown. I found a Chinese station I drove and found a hotel. I drove back plugged in the car. Ate at the local restaurant and then sat in a car for 2:00 until it was charged.
On the way to Memphis, I stopped in Sikeston, there was a char news station at a truck stop and around the corner was a cheap hotel so so I like the room at the hotel I went to the grocery store. I drove back to the Charlie station and plugged in the car. Went to my room, watch movies.
In West Memphis, I stayed at the Quality Inn which has 6 grounded outlets on the front wall of the hotel so I simply plug the car in there.

In Arkansas I stopped at a little town I forgot the Name, had a fast charger at city hall. It was too hot to sit in the car as I had been doing a fast chargers, so I sat out in the rain.

In Little Rock I found a Fast Charger at an office building across the street from a GoodWill, there while charging I went shopping, then walked up the hill to an italian restaurant.

Also in little rock there is a Unitarian church with outlets in the Parking lot. I charged there during church.

In Texarkana I stayed at the Shamrock Motel, one block from the court house. The courthouse had free fast chargers. I charged there.

Summary

In most of my trip I was able to charge for free, cheap, or for the price of a motel room. I found that many quality inns have a plug on either side of the building. I carried 100 foot extension cord which made this trip easy to accomplish.
